Remember me?

You took a couple of my suggestions. The darker blood and fixed lightsabers look fantastic. :P

In the future I'd add more unique elements. The professor antagonist seemed like the madness Jesus with an eggman ship to me, and the rooms were usually a little plain. Very madnessish. Madness is nice, yes, but there's nothing wrong with branching a bit more. You don't have to change the story a lot. You could introduce biological weapons or dynamic environments or fluctuations in time or... something.

With that said, it was a well-made movie. Keep it up. =]

P.S. That repair noise was familiar. SCV or NS welder?

Mottis responds:

Thnx.

The repair sound was from StarCraft.(SCV repairing a unit)

Omgersplooge Cameo (equals 10 and fifen)

This seemed EERILY FAMILIAR.

Could it be because you showed most of it to me a long time ago?

Hm...

Good job. I think I mighta liked Comet Crew a bit more, though.

Eternal-Panda responds:

Most likely, Yeah. It was an on and off project scince early last year. I rushed it out the door for the holiday.

And yeah, seriously. How am I EVER going to top that one!? CometCrew > Me

3 problems with the movie...

1. Too much of a generic fight movie.
2. You're a day early.
3. You cannot kill Orange Clock.

=[

stoners-lunchbox responds:

3 problems i can't solve:

1: The so called generic fight movie had a message at the end that you probably didn't bother to watch out for.
2: I won't be here for clockday when everyone will be awake.
3: I didn't kill Orange. Mineral Water did. LoL.

Happy Clock Day!

We can always expect the best from Strange. :]

Excellent job. The visuals were very nicely done, and it had a fun attitude. Keep up the good work.

Oh, and thanks a bunch for the cameo. Those are always very appreciated. :] (cameo = multiple fifen, review 10 ;])

StrangeClock responds:

Thank you, you metallic waffle/flyswatter thingamabob

Jolly Good

My, that was a very funny piece. Keep up the good work, I want to see more short works like these.

CorpseGrinderClock responds:

I like short movies, they're fun to make

Not much change...

Hey. I'm the guy that said: "Looks like we got a review responder here. :] Cool." in a previous review. This time I probably won't go into as much detail, because it seems that most of the visual and audio work is basically the same. It's nice like the last one, but I still don't see masking on the blinking, the mouth animation is still funny looking, and there's still spots where there should be easing and there isn't (or the value is set so close to 0 that it's not noticable, but that's unlikely; if you really need an example -- the green space bird's eyes when he looked around). You asked for me to tell you if you've improved, and well... the answer is, "not really," to be honest. :[ I've yet to see any noticable differences between the quality of this piece and the quality of the last. Sorry if it's a little harsh, but I prefer to be honest about critique. :0 Most of the changes aren't too hard, just some masking here and some easing there, but I think it could really make your work look nicer. Again, if you need help or want to talk about it, feel free to contact me. :] Keep working on it.

JKR responds:

Well thanks for the honesty. The main reason you may not see much in the way of change isn't because I didn't listen the first time, but because I try and do a cartoon a week for FredtheMonkey.com by myself, and that usually takes all of my time. So I just haven't gotten around to implementing the things you mentioned. Except the tweening. I did put that in. I swear, every single motion tween had it there. But like you said, the value may not be high enough. I think when the tween is only 5 frames long it has to be 100 in or out otherwise you don't notice anything. Perhaps one day I'll up the framerate to 24 or something, but for now I'm just trying to make the cartoons. I appriciate you being honest though. I think I can sum in up best as I plan to continue making these toons for a long time (if all goes well) so I guess I'm okay with improving little bits here and there instead of all at once. You know what I mean? But it is still great to hear constructive feedback like you wrote, and I'll continue trying to improve slowly over time (as soon as I have some spare time to implement things!)
Hopefully the quality of the cartoons is still at a level where it is enjoyable to watch, even if there aren't vast improvements every new cartoon.
I'll keep working on it, and I hope you'll keep writing these great, well thought out reviews. They really are extremely helpful. Thanks!

Relatively good.

Looks like we got a review responder here. :] Cool.
The Flash was pretty nice. The characters appeared well-developed and the voice acting was nice. There were a few flaws though. I'll break it down:
Graphics: The character designs were nice, but the bird guys' eyes looked weird when the blinked or squinted (you probably should go with a mask for that), and you didn't use any easing (which you should definitely use with tweens). The mouth animation on the birds, though a nice step from just wobbling, didn't seem to fit. Their mouths just aren't positioned right. Perhaps you might want to redesign their mouth region. The monkey's mouth animation seemed good. I think some frames other than the three normal ones ('ah,' 'oh,' and closed) would be good, like f/v, t, and one with teeth shut and showing.
If you want help with masking or easing, feel free to ask for such in a response, or AIM or Email me.
Style: Style was good. It was unique and pretty original. I thought, though, that the Flash shouldn't've been based around your site. Seemed sorta advertisy almost.
Sound: Sound was also good. The monkey's voice, though a bit on the weird side, fit his character. The birds had fine voices too, but I think they might've been better if they didn't sound so normal (cause their appearance certainly is not. :P).
Violence: -
Interactivity: -
Humor: Kinda funny. The cake mix eating thing was amusing (though you should know - some cake mix is pretty good :D). I had no idea what you were talking about with the cube thing at the start. O_o
Overall: A solid piece. It was enjoyable, and done pretty nicely. There's some room for improvement, of course, but you're doing nicely so far. :]

JKR responds:

Well looks like we've got someone who really puts some time into reviews. =)
Well thanks for giving me so many suggestions. I appriciate it. Let's see if I can cover everything.
I did use easing a lot, even if it wasn't apparent, and the idea of using masks is a great one, I'll have to try that out. One of the reasons why the space chickens' mouths may have looked odd is because this was the first cartoon with them talking that way. I'll keep improving it, don't worry. And I have sketches ready for other mouth views (like you said, with teeth, and F's and such) so that will be added soon too.
The cartoon was originally done specifically for FredtheMonkey.com, and I just submitted it here too for fun. That is why it's based around the site. Glad you enjoyed the humor, and as for the first joke about Cubetoons, the short version of the story is that I also do the weekly comic (called Cubetoons) for IGNCube.com but last week the editor forgot to put the new one up. Okay, so maybe it isn't a very short story.
Anywho, thanks a bunch again for the review! Let me know if I improve any next time around. =)

Yeah, it's funny, but...

Your style points are at a fail beacuse the animation was about as much of a TurdClock ripoff as you can get. :[ You even used the same music from his Clockday movie at one point.

Cmon, man. Originality is key.

SamFisherClock responds:

You tell me how to animate then. There isn't really much of an option when you're animating a clock, either you make him stand still, or you animate him while he talks and stuff.

About the song. It was the only song I had that fitted in, sorry if you got Turdclock flashbacks there too :(

But thanks anyway

:] Splendid.

British Foamy = God damn hilarious.

mrsimon responds:

Gah. I dont mean to be british :P

:-/

Stop it. You're not funny anymore. All your cartoons about celebrities and exaggerating their faults are tasteless and boring. Your awful mouth animation and lack of easing doesn't help either.

Kayne West is indeed a douchebag, but this movie plays on his racism way too much. The whole ordeal is old now.

Stop doing mainstream media garbage and make something original, please.

The-WalrusZ responds:

Gee, and here I was thinking that exaggerating people's faults was called comedy. My bad.
