[Halloween Hoopla]

Sigh...

Whenever I make negative reviews to a foamy movie, it's interesting to see my helpfulness guage fluctuate so much. Before saying my review was unhelpful, just read it and try to see how I've been looking at things. I actually used to like foamy, which you can see if you look back on my oldest page of reviews. However. I've come to see that he isn't all that great.
I'll break the movie down...
Graphics: The backgrounds art is good. The character art and animation isn't. It lacks easing and shading & shadowing, and the hand frames are sloppy. 2.
Style: It's too much like illwillpress's other movies. It's really getting old... 1.
Sound: Foamy's voice is getting a tad on the annoying side, and there are parts when one actually hears his voice crack. 2.
Violence: The only violence was a rather gross and unnecessary bit at the end. 1.
Interactivity: -
Humor: It's just not funny. See, when comedians use 'complaining' humor, they have to include witty comments and snappy punchlines. This is just... complaining. There's nothing funny in that. And the last bit... well, that was uncalled for. 0.
Overall: 1. I wish illwillpress would just make something different with real voices and good animation. Foamy has been milked dry. 1.

Nice job.

Graphics: Very, very nice. I could tell you knew how to use easing, and the art was very well done. 10.
Style: You combine both video game humor and anime art, so the outcome isn't too original or stylish. 7.
Sound: The music and SFX were solid, but a few voices would've been nice. 7.
Violence: Sure, it was violent, but I thought it was lacking in blood. ;] 7.
Interactivity: -
Humor: Yeah, I could see how people would think this funny, but it didn't strike me as such all too much. It was pretty repetitive, and relied too much on just random characters hitting other random characters. 6.
Overall: The visuals really put this one together. Everything was timed right, shading and shadowing is done nicely, and easing was used perfectly. I'd try to shift towards something more original with some voice acting next time.

You've got great writing and voice acting abilities. Your visual stuff could use some work, though.

In the end, it's just a fun movie to watch. Great job, keep it up. :]

Nicely done. :]
Graphics were nice (could use some more shading and shadowing). 8.
Pretty stylish and original. 9.
Voice acting was good. 8.
It was funny. 9.
An overall nice piece.

There were a few instances where it reminded me of shows. The guy in the chair reminded me of Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and the way the main character was acting towards the chipmunk reminded me of Cartman and his cat from South Park. The main character himself seemed like a teen, yellow version of Dad from "Dad's Home." :0

[Final Fantasy A+]

Eh...

Well, the quality of the movie was good, I'll tell you that. However, the artistic style itself was pretty cliche, and Final Fantasy flashes are a little overdone. The story is pretty weak, too; why the heck would the teacher go through so much to buy some land in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere, and how would nobody've noticed until so late?
Didn't find it too funny either. The jokes seemed a little... childish. I mean, the homework battles might be a little entertaining, but not funny, and the ramen thing at the end was just sorta... cheesy. Meh.
Well, I was honest about this, but I wouldn't be surprised if my review helpfulness score got hurt from it. Again, the actual quality of the movie was good, but it wasn't very stylish or funny. Yeah, it's a school project, but if you submit it on NG, it should be treated like any other movie.

The Flash was pretty nice. The characters appeared well-developed and the voice acting was nice. There were a few flaws though. I'll break it down:
Graphics: The character designs were nice, but the bird guys' eyes looked weird when the blinked or squinted (you probably should go with a mask for that), and you didn't use any easing (which you should definitely use with tweens). The mouth animation on the birds, though a nice step from just wobbling, didn't seem to fit. Their mouths just aren't positioned right. Perhaps you might want to redesign their mouth region. The monkey's mouth animation seemed good. I think some frames other than the three normal ones ('ah,' 'oh,' and closed) would be good, like f/v, t, and one with teeth shut and showing.

Style: Style was good. It was unique and pretty original. I thought, though, that the Flash shouldn't've been based around your site. Seemed sorta advertisy almost.
Sound: Sound was also good. The monkey's voice, though a bit on the weird side, fit his character. The birds had fine voices too, but I think they might've been better if they didn't sound so normal (cause their appearance certainly is not. :P).
Violence: -
Interactivity: -
Humor: Kinda funny. The cake mix eating thing was amusing (though you should know - some cake mix is pretty good :D). I had no idea what you were talking about with the cube thing at the start. O_o
Overall: A solid piece. It was enjoyable, and done pretty nicely. There's some room for improvement, of course, but you're doing nicely so far. :]

Well thanks for giving me so many suggestions. I appriciate it. Let's see if I can cover everything.
I did use easing a lot, even if it wasn't apparent, and the idea of using masks is a great one, I'll have to try that out. One of the reasons why the space chickens' mouths may have looked odd is because this was the first cartoon with them talking that way. I'll keep improving it, don't worry. And I have sketches ready for other mouth views (like you said, with teeth, and F's and such) so that will be added soon too.
The cartoon was originally done specifically for FredtheMonkey.com, and I just submitted it here too for fun. That is why it's based around the site. Glad you enjoyed the humor, and as for the first joke about Cubetoons, the short version of the story is that I also do the weekly comic (called Cubetoons) for IGNCube.com but last week the editor forgot to put the new one up. Okay, so maybe it isn't a very short story.
Anywho, thanks a bunch again for the review! Let me know if I improve any next time around. =)

Your style points are at a fail beacuse the animation was about as much of a TurdClock ripoff as you can get. :[ You even used the same music from his Clockday movie at one point.

Cmon, man. Originality is key.

You tell me how to animate then. There isn't really much of an option when you're animating a clock, either you make him stand still, or you animate him while he talks and stuff.

About the song. It was the only song I had that fitted in, sorry if you got Turdclock flashbacks there too :(

Eh... I'll break it down:

Graphics: Your drawing are very well done, but there was a definite lack of actual animation.
Style: Yeah, anime art isn't too original, nor is "daily life" stuff. It's got some unique points though.
Sound: Didn't like the song. Yep.
Violence: -
Interactivity: -
Humor: Meh... not too funny. I thought the cat thing was amusing though. :3
Overall: The plot didn't go too far and the song was on the annoying side. You should try to make a full voiced movie. Yes, that would be swell. :]

Stop it. You're not funny anymore. All your cartoons about celebrities and exaggerating their faults are tasteless and boring. Your awful mouth animation and lack of easing doesn't help either.

Kayne West is indeed a douchebag, but this movie plays on his racism way too much. The whole ordeal is old now.

Stop doing mainstream media garbage and make something original, please.
